The Asus Zenfone Max is a smartphone slated for release by the Taiwanese manufacturer Asus in December 2015.

With a gamut of impressive smartphones and phablets to its credit, there are a lot of hopes pinned onto this handset as well. The manufacturer is said to target its medium budget customers for this offering. The Zenfone Max is likely to support two micro SIM cards and feature a large non-removable battery. Asus also declares that the smartphone will also be able to double up as a power bank intimes of emergency. In other words, with a fully charged Max gadget, you will be able to juice up another device.

Dimensions, Weight and Body Material

With the battery showing good chances of being quite big, it is better to be prepared for such a handset too. Prospective dimensions of the Asus Zenfone Max are close to 77.5 x 156 x 10.55mm (W x D x H). In all probability, the gadget is estimated to weigh nearly 202g with the battery loaded. This could mean that you need not hope of owning a lightweight smartphone if you are waiting for the Zenfone Max. It is still not clear about what material is used for the body construction. However,if there is anything to believe the news is going around, the Max will at least house a metal bezel just below its screen. Asus lovers would know that the manufacturer has already been successful with this experiment in the Zenfone 2 series.

Screen Display  and Pixel Resolution

It is anticipated that the Max will arrive with a 5.5” IPS LCD screen and True Vividfull-screen lamination technology developed by the maker itself. Supposed to feature a 178-degree viewing angle, the smartphone is also said to house a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 scratch-resistant glass. You can also hope for the screen to depict a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. There is no clue yet to what pixel density will be integrated into the device.

Camera

Asus is believed to live up to the expectation of its fans with decent front and rear snappers for the Asus Zenfone Max. The primary rear camera is reported to be a 13MP Pixel Master camera with dual LED real tone flash. It is also rumored to deploy low lighting mode, laser autofocus, and GIFanimation and zero shutter lag. If the low lighting modeis inbuilt into the camera, you can take really bright shots even at night or when lighting is insufficient. Talking about the front camera, the Max has a very good 5MP camera too. Like the rear snapper, this shooter will also render good functionalities like night and selfie modes, photo effects, time lapse and real time beautification to indicate just a few highlights.

The camcorder is also projected to support video recording and video playback in multiple formats. Also, it will fit in the one-touch still-capture facility.

Hardware, Memory and Operating System

The gadget is possibly going to house a recent decent hardware configuration and memory. The Asus Zenfone Max is anticipated to use a 2GB RAM, a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU, and an Adreno 306/405 GPU. There is a probability that the handset will be equipped with 16GB ROM as internal storage. Added to this, the company will offer you 5GB Asus web storage free for life. To top it all, the Zenfone Max has a memory card slot for you to extend the memory by another 64GB.

Believed to come with Android’s Lollipop installed as the operating system, the ASUS Zen UI 2.0 also finds its place in the Max. Kids Mode is another feature that will ensure the safety of your smartphone contents from your tot.

Color and Battery

Talks are that you will not have many colors to choose from for your tablet. The Asus smartphone is more likely than not going to be available only in the two standard colors black and white.

As stated at the beginning of this article, one of the killer features of the Asus Zenfone Max is its whopping 5,000 mAh Li-Polymer battery. This battery will supposedly render 914 hours standby time and 37.63 hours talk time. Once fully charged, it will retain its charge for 38 days with adata connection, Wi-Fi and display off.
