The latest offerings from Samsung promise to offer tweaks more than anything else. It is exactly what the company need right now amidst competition from lesser-known companies in China and other Southeast Asian regions.
Display
The Samsung Galaxy On7 and the Samsung Galaxy On5 are primarily separatedregarding display size, but there is lot more that meets the eye. The former has a 5.5-inch screen whereas it is reduced to a 5-inch display on the Galaxy On5. Both phones, though, have the same 720p resolution, and this may be disappointment. The lack of detail is especially more pronounced on the Galaxy On7 due to its larger display. It has a pixel density of just over 250 PPI, which is not great in current times. The Galaxy On5 has a figure of 288 PPI.
Camera
An enormous difference comes up regarding imaging quality since the Galaxy On7 has a 13-megapixel camera compared to just an eight-megapixel shooter on the Galaxy On5. It is more than enough to produce a significant difference between the two, but they are similar regarding the front facing camera. Samsung offers a five-megapixel camera on the front in these devices. The traditional fare of the sophisticated camera interface continues the Galaxy On7 and Galaxy On5 as well.
Performance
The two phones are almost identical regarding memory and performance. The Galaxy On7 has a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor. It is highly likely that Samsung will be using the Exynos processor – in-line with its policy from the high-end smartphones – on this device. The Galaxy On5 also has the same processor but with a clock, speed of 1.3 GHz. Also, this quad core processor helped by the Mali GPU.
Memory
Not only do these dual SIM phones provide an alternate regarding the operator, but they also take care of additional memory needs through a microSD card slot. Internally, only 8 GB is offered as standard. This is not sufficient, and both these phones offer support up to 128 GB worth memory cards. The battery on the Galaxy On7 is 3000 mAh while the smaller Galaxy On5 receives a 2600 mAh battery. Prices of these two phones are expected to be largely similar at around the $250 figure.
